What is the Maryland Metropolitan Education Expo?
The Maryland Metropolitan Education Expo is a one day recruiting event that brings together employers and talented candidates in the field of education. Last year, almost 40 school systems and organizations attended the Expo, with representation from most Maryland counties as well as the District of Columbia, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, North Carolina, California and others.
MMEE has two parts:
- Job Fair - 9:00 am -10:30 am. The Expo will begin with a job fair so that candidates can meet recruiters and learn more about their school systems and organizations.
- Interviews - 10:30 am - 2:30 pm. The Expo gives candidates the opportunity to interview with school systems and organizations for anticipated vacancies. Only UMD Students and Alumni may pre-register for interviews. Any remaining interview times are made available to interested candidates on the day of the event.
Where are the interviews?
Interviews will be held at recruiter tables in the Colony Ballroom - Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland.
Directions and Parking?
You may park in any visitor lot. The www.transportation.umd.edu/visitor_info/the_map.htm provides a visual location of these facilities. The hourly parking rate may vary between locations. You can also take the metro to the College Park Station and take the University of Maryland shuttle to campus.
